From your factory to the Brazilian buyer.

Manhattan Global Trade finds, validates and documents products and inputs for Brazilian companies that sell to the government and to the private market, and coordinates each import with licensed partners.

Selling into Brazil starts with documents.

Brazilian companies look abroad for what the domestic market does not always offer: equipment, components and inputs with their own specifications, often at a cost that makes a bid more competitive. For a manufacturer abroad, that is an opening. Reaching these buyers requires technical documents in Portuguese, certificates recognized in Brazil, a correct tariff classification and a landed cost the buyer can trust.

Public procurement raises the bar. In a Brazilian public tender, an imported product is judged item by item against the terms of reference, and a bid that does not meet the specification is disqualified. When the tender provides for it, the provisionally winning bidder may be asked for a sample. A document missing on the day of the bidding session cannot be shipped in time from the other side of the world.

Manhattan Global Trade organizes this path so that decisions come before the order: the specification defines the search, validation defines the supplier and the landed cost defines the price. Customs clearance, foreign exchange and freight stay with licensed partners. Coordination and the check of every document stay with our team, which knows Brazilian public procurement from both sides of the counter.

From the factory abroad to delivery in Brazil.

  • International sourcing

A Brazilian company brings a specification, a volume and a purpose. We look for factories that meet them, prefer manufacturers to intermediaries and compare the candidates side by side before any order.

  • Supplier validation

Before the first payment, we confirm that the supplier exists, makes what it offers and can deliver the agreed volume. Registration, factory, certificates, references and commercial terms are checked against documents and public sources.

  • Documentation for Brazilian tenders

A compliance matrix places each requirement of the terms of reference next to the document that proves it. Technical sheets, catalogs, warranty terms and manufacturer declarations are organized for the bid and translated into Portuguese when the tender requires.

  • Import coordination

Who acts as importer of record is defined in the proposal. The landed cost is calculated before the order, and a customs broker, an authorized foreign exchange institution and freight partners each handle their part, coordinated by our team.

  • Inputs for industry

Raw materials and components for Brazilian manufacturers, bought to a specification with tolerances, with purchases scheduled around the consumption of the production line. The buyer tests the sample first, and each lot's certificate is checked against the specification.

  • Logistics to the buyer

After customs release, transport from the port, airport or border to the buyer's address is planned with logistics partners and followed until the delivery is checked and signed for.

Your product line, represented in Brazil.

Selling to the Brazilian government takes more than a good product. It takes technical sheets in Portuguese, declarations in the format tenders ask for, warranty and technical assistance in Brazil, and resellers prepared to bid. Our representation service organizes this path for your line.

We present your line to resellers and bidders, prepare the technical documentation and follow the tenders where your products fit. The reseller or the bidder bids and signs the contract with the public buyer, and Manhattan does not compete with them. Territory, product lines, exclusivity, if any, and remuneration are set in the representation agreement before the work begins.

  • Market-entry diagnosis: documentation, registrations required in Brazil and markets with demand for your line
  • Technical sheets and catalog in Portuguese, in the format tenders ask for
  • Templates of the declarations you issue to resellers, such as warranty terms and letters of joint responsibility
  • Presentation of your line to resellers and bidders
  • Monitoring of tenders and opportunities where your line fits
  • Reports with contacts, opportunities and market feedback

Validate first, then talk price.

  1. Specification

Each operation starts from a specification: the product, the technical requirements, the volume and the purpose of the Brazilian buyer.

  2. Confidentiality

A non-disclosure and non-circumvention agreement is signed before any supplier is introduced. It protects the manufacturer, the buyer and the work of the search.

  3. Validation

The manufacturer and the commercial terms are verified against documents. Only then is price discussed.

  4. Import

The operation proceeds with licensed partners for customs clearance, foreign exchange and freight, and our team follows each document through to delivery.

When will my company be introduced to a Brazilian buyer?

Only after the non-disclosure and non-circumvention agreement is signed. Before that, no names or contacts are exchanged, on either side.

What does supplier validation ask of a manufacturer?

Proof that the company is registered in its country and makes the product (or, if not, who does), technical documents and certificates, factory data, export history and commercial references. Payment terms, Incoterm, warranty and production lead time are reviewed too.

Are certificates issued abroad accepted in Brazil?

Not always. Some products require certification or registration with a Brazilian authority, and a foreign certificate may not be accepted without it. For some registrations, a company established in Brazil must hold or answer for the product. The diagnosis indicates the case of each line.

Who acts as importer of record?

Who acts as importer of record is defined in the proposal, according to the product, the volume and the purpose of the operation. The Brazilian company may import in its own name or engage an importer to import on its behalf or to order. Each mode changes documents, taxes and responsibilities.

Do documents have to be in Portuguese?

It depends on the tender. Translation of documents in a foreign language is often required, sometimes a sworn translation, and the compliance matrix shows what each item asks for.
